Best AA-2 flashlight for $70?

I want good throw and output. I'm thinking of buying the Quark X AA-2 but the reflector's relatively shallow making it not a good thrower rather a good flood light compared to the Quark AA-2 R5. It has to be about the same size of the Quark AA-2 sorry forgot to mention that. Neutral is preferred if possible.

P.S. I'm not getting the Quark R5 so please don't mention that.

Have a look at the dereelight javelin, it is one of the best throwing 2AA torches available. Also the eagletac P100A2 has fairly good throw aswell

Owned both. The eagletact p100a2 is a supurior light on all fronts and outhrows it.

Owned all the commonly suggesed 2aa throwers to see what was the best the p100a2 stood out and i sold the rest. Check out my past threads on it if your looking for a 2aa thrower.

X2 on the Javelin. It takes p60s so you can upgrade it to your heart's desire. The weak point is the switch. The boot does not have a nub but can be fixed by cutting a pencil eraser and placing it inside the boot or buying a few 14mm?? switch boots for around $2 from dx. It also has an available extender for use with 3aa for a little more output and increased run times. Whatever you choose.. Happy hunting and good luck!

How does it compare to the EagleTac P20A2 MKII? I just got one but haven't tried it outside yet.

I explored the 2AA realm of throwers so i had the p20a2 mark 1 which had the XP-E R2. Compared it side by side and sold it like the rests. The other p20a2 with different modules i did not try because I was looking for a thrower.

I heard great things about the tk20 its the only light i did not test. After checking out beamshots and reading the people who praised it must be quite a light. I hope i don't tske heat for this but i was impressed by the tint. That's it.

I did notice that it didn't have a tight center beam pattern. I personally prefer a bit of spill so I like it a lot already.
