Hi all,

I just got this cool cyanantor made by Milky and with a single AW CR123 I get .58mA at the tail.

I am going to 2 Holloween parties and want to blow people away with this already insanely bright green flood light.

My buddy Krammer5150 will put a 1.4A driver, but I am not sure if it will :poof: the Cyan Lux5 emitter. Does anybody know the max current these LED's can handle for up to 5 minutes???

Thanks,
bigC

The Lux V is STILL my favorite LED package - for many reasons.

I did a heck of a lot of testing on this package (in white - not the colors) - so perhaps we bonded or something. Nonetheless, that package does have one real weakness- thermal conductivity. You really gain little to nothing pushing it past 700 - 800 ma, and in fact will loose output as it warms up.

At 1.4 amps, I expect it will actually fail pretty fast - as in minutes.

Thank you for the reply....

I actually have this DX Driver inside a P60 drop-in that I can take out. It does 750mA so this may be what I will end up using.
