I wouldn't bother, this product-failure-and-radio-silence schtick is perfectly on-brand for Imalent. Call off the SR32 purchase and go for an Acebeam.

This was the top search result for Imalent SR32 so I'll be holding off on a purchase unless there's some meaningful response from them about this.

They fixed it, I went through 2x SR32's because they accidently sent me one from the first batch as a replacement, the 3rd one has held up perfectly, have had it scolding hot and no burnt LED's for months now. The ones with the wood on the box are the fixed ones, the ones without the wood are the first release ones that had problems.

I just got an X21, then an X21R, and finally the Lupine Betty and never had problems with any of them.
