Question. I have to double click the HOLA in my Mag 2C even with using AW's protected 18650's. Is this right? The cells are also an extremely tight fit. Solutions?

That's right. You need the double click with the HI bulb.

As to the tight fit, are you using a deep tail cap, or modified spring in the std. cap?

Thanks. Regular tail cap. No room for even a cutdown spring. Using a piece of copper soldering braid from Radio Shack. Very tight fit.

I moved my switch forward. I don't remember which thread I read that explained but if you unscrew the bezel and look down in there you can see a ring. It's not a snap-ring but it's that kind of an idea.

If you use an allen wrench to loosen the screw that goes through the switch (this requires pulling the rubber off of the switch first) and then remove that ring you can slide the switch forward and then tighten the allen screw back up.

I can fit a magnet between the two batteries and a mini-mag spring in there with my protected 18650s.

I know there are some safety concerns, but if you were to use unprotected cells, these issues would be taken care of. No more double click and the cells are shorter so they should fit better.

Best answer, I guess, would be to wait for AW's C sized Li-Ions. All problems solved. :grin2:
