Here is another creation from Fivemega. 3.7 volt, 5800mAh 1.25 M*g or 7.4 volt, 5800mAh 2.5 M*g
As you see in picture, these M*gs are shortened, rethreaded and dual bored to accept two 18650 batteries side by side and connected in PARALLEL. Using pair of AW's new 18650 cells you will get 6800mAh capacity at 3.7 volt. Excellent for P7 or SSt-50/90
Using 2 pairs of AW's new 18650 cells you will get 6800mAh capacity at 7.4 volt in 2.5D host.
Excellent for long run incands.
Outside body is partially grooved only where body has enough thickness and untouched where is bored out to fit batteries. This will prevent body weakening.
Heads are also very fine finned and flutted to manage unwanted heat.
Battery holder is integrated with switch and comes with flashlight. No external battery holder required.
Please make sure both batteries are inserted positive to switch side. Battries not included.
Side of body has charging port to recharge batteries without removing from flashlight and [SIZE=+1]NO[/SIZE] balancing required for 2P version. I will also include male charging jack and rubber plug to seal when is not used.
Any charger for 3.7V Li-ion such as this can be used for 2P version and obviously for 2S/2P version you will need this. Please balance charge all 4 cells after few pack charge.
Switch tower is machinned off and ready to install any LED module and controller.
Advantage of parallel cells are not only to save some space and double the capacity but less load per cell, less voltage drop, longer battery life, longer run time and higher current capability.
All you need to do is solder pair of wire (positive and negative) to switch and connect to controller and/or LED module.
When you hold the flashlight body horizontally, switch button is at 12:00 O'clock, one bore is at 3:00 O'clock, second bore is at 9:00 O'clock and charging port is at 6:00 O'clock.
2S/2P (with switch tower without jack) version is excellent choice for long run ROP High or 5761 (WO tower, with G6.35 socket)

That charger will work if you cut the output wires and connect to supplied jack.
Keep in mind when charging current is about 1.2 Amps, charging time will be about 6 hours if batteries are depleted.

Being that the cells are parallel you will not have enough volts to power a ROP.Not to mention that it has no switch tower.

2P/2S 18650 versions can be used for ROP when towered switch is available.

There are more than enough room for any heat sink ever made for M*g D

It's wasting space for 2S/2P 16340. Why not using 2S/2P 18350?
IMR 18350 will work much better with more current capability and more capacity.

This thread is not for service and I don't do modification service in small quantity.
All flashlights on post one are already completed in group and quantity to reduce total cost.
Custom service for one flashlight the way you want (if somebody can do for you) will cost way more expensive.

As FM stated, these would be great for a SST50 or 90 build. The host should also work with Malkoff's new XPG drop-in that has a max of 5.5V rating.
