What's the temp like on the E1B? If you hold the light with your palm (so all four fingers wrap around the body), can you run the light on High for several minutes without burning yourself? 4" length should put your palm partly onto the head of the light, does the temp get real hot like on an incan?

I haven't run mine enough to say for sure, but I would be very surprised if it got that warm. They aren't pushing the LED all that hard, and there is plenty of material to absorb the heat.

No heat issues with mine at all. I left it sitting on my desk on high for about a half hour, and it was warn but nothing like an E2E or even a L2 or L4...

None of my SF led lights has ever been too hot to hold. The lights don't run too hard and the body can dissipate the heat well. I run them for an hour or so at a time, no problems.

If it's anything like the L1, then it won't get much past warm. The L4 though, that sucker was a pocket burner. I accidentally activated mine in a pants pocket and after some time it got hot enough to practically burn the skin on my thigh and was too hot to hold in a bare hand. Now that I carry the L1 around the house, I don't worry about having to sink the heat away for 10 minute runs.

You are referring to the L1 CREE right? (the newest version of the L1).

Yep. That's right. The one I show in my love is in the air thread.
