Heh, looks like the "CPF Effect" is *real*, i've only been here a short time, but to have a light go from in stock to completely sold out in less than 12 hours, that's impressive, at least to me

is this kind of thing normal, for a popular light to sell out in less than 12 hours?

Well, I imagine anyone who's into premium flashlights will sooner or later wind up here on CPF. So it stands to reason that a bulk of dealer sales are to CPF members; which means that if a thread starts about a great flashlight at a great price, hundreds, maybe over a thousand in some cases, of potential buyers will read and comment until they can no longer resist that buyers temptation. A good example would be the SL4AA Lux sold by Fox International on their website. So many orders came in they were scratching their heads wondering what was happening. Now Fox knows about CPF and has the SL4AA Lux advertised on their home page.

So yes we are a target audience because all of us combined have major buying power. The CPF Effect is alive and kicking.

LOL, you guys got me as well. According to web page only silver with gift box is available. I don't need a gift box but hopefully it truly is available. I love paypal. I put a little bit of fun money in from my bank account and use it for stuff like this as to not get further into credit card debt.

Two quick questions I know have probably been asked before. How long does it take to ship with global priority to the USA east coast (Boston area)? Also I assume it is ok to use lithiums? I imagine that must produce a flatter discharge.

I'm picking the my L1P up tommorow from the post office, cannot wait.
Even though the L1s for sale have the R-Bin, they still won't be the higher lumens of the L1P, right?
Is that a good justification for spending the extra $12, instead of waiting a week to buy a some L1s?
OR should I just try to get some L1s now too, on principal?

The other difference between the L1 and L1P is the P has the HA-III anodizing, whereas the standard has the easier to scratch HA-II.

Missed it :-( It was supposed to be in stock on Dec 20th and I kept on checking every days except the weekend. And now it is out of stock again.

Oh well, destiny is telling me to stop buying flashlights :-(

However, LightHound is in Texas, and unless you are shipping to somewhere other than the Mass. you have listed, it will be delivered by USPS Priority Mail in 2-3 days. Global Priority is for out of the U.S. His notes say "International shipping surcharge."

Global Priority is used for overseas shipping - aren't you in Massachusetts, USA?
