Hi,

I have an Amilite T5 and I do edc it everyday but was just wondering how long can you keep it on continuously without any problem to the led or the flashlight itself. I know there have been problems with rechargeables, but I use primaries always.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

It will be perfectly OK with a primary CR123A, but you will soon fry the emitter if you use a Li-Ion R123.

This is the reason I like the T5/primary combo. I HATE lights that I have to be concerned about runtime and/or heat issues.

You can use a 3.0V or 3.2V rechargeable with no probs. Or one of those 3.2/3.3V LiFePO4 ones from AW.

+1 I have some green label 17335 1000maH 3v from Lighthound that work great! However even if you fry the emitter Amilite sells new stars for like $8 or 9
bucks and they are very easy to replace.
