Hi guys (and girls?),

First of all my compliments to you all on this awesome forum! Since a while I've been looking around for a hid spotlight (e.g. Vector SLH100V). Sure, there are sellers enough (eBay, Amazon, Google, you name it), but since I live in the Netherlands, the biggest issue is to get such an spotlight to the Netherlands.

Searching 'the web', I came across your forum. I've been reading several topics, so you can probably understand my growing 'need' for an pob...

Question: do you know a supplier who also ships to the Netherlands? Perhaps there is someone among you who will/can 'intermediate'...

I'm a verified PayPal user, so I'm able to pay the easy way...

Why I want to use an hid spotlight? I'm a rc boat fanatic (xtremercboats.com, Jim's Dock etc. etc.) and we also drive our boats (approx. 2 meters) at night. On the water, we can use some extra light...We've got a big event coming, so I want to 'surprise' some people with these amazing lights!

We use 220V, but I have some converters, so that should not be a problem.

Maybe my writing isn't flawless, but I hope you get the message.

Best regards from Holland,

Ronald

Re: How to get an POB to the Netherlands?

Best way would be finding a seller in www.cpfmarketplace.com and have him ship it internationally

I know Tilburg is perfectly reachable through USPS international.
Where in Holland are you?

I'm not sure how big a deal the shipping price will be but having the sender ship it without the battery will reduce the cost quite a bit.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply. I live nearby Utrecht (20 miles from Amsterdam). I just added an account for the marketplace...Is the slh100v a good choice or would you advice an torch such as the 'no name' tactical 35W hid on MP?

Thanks, Ronald

Ronald,
PM me your address and I can check on a shipping cost for you. I recently sent one to Lithuania for about $62.00 via USPS. I would sell a new POB for $55.00 plus actual shipping cost.

Additional:

USPS has an excellent service in the Netherlands, never had any problems with getting items over here. I contacted some sellers on other marketplaces; the cheapest insured shipment of a pob was $65.00 (which I think is very reasonable, but the seller was just out of stock), but the most expensive seller would charge $ 196.00(!) for the shipment...

Thanks, Ronald

edit: Bob, Pb is on the way!

Definitely remove the battery, shipping is going to be cheaper and if the parcel is dropped there won't be a big plastic box full of lead in there to damage the rest of the light, the battery is very common and cheap to replace.

Re: How to get an POB to the Netherlands?

As a newbie (and noob) on your forum I experienced something special: On the first day I asked a question, I got help from you rightway...Thanks!!!

Bob (Parker VH) sold me an new Vector SLH100V for a fair price and fair insured shipment...

@Norm: that's true, but the saving on shipment is costing around the same as a new battery. Now I will get an complete pob...

I will let you know my findings on this hid, I also looked at the N30...Perhaps I'm gonna buy a L35 also...Or maybe first another bulb in the pob?!? I'm getting fun at this!

Thanks again, Ronald

Re: How to get an POB to the Netherlands?

You won't get POB for less than $120 ($60 for a light, $60 shipping). N30 is even more expensive - ~$200 shipped to EU. You can change bulb in POB to 4300K one. Nice, much warmer light.

I'm aware of that, this Vector light is just for 'testing'. If I like it, I have no problem with spending some more money. But because I'm new at this game, I have to start somewhere...First, I will wait for this pob to arrive!

Best regards, Ronald

I bought a POB 2 weeks ago with a fellow member in the CPFMP.
The shipping to Brazil was 52 bucks (something like that) and I´m waiting like a child for it !!!

I paid $39.95 U.S. from an E-Bay seller plus $25.00 U.S. for shipping from an US seller back in May and absolutely love this light! Money well spent.:twothumbs
