With lower input Voltage they should be higher.

Not if there's no boost circuit. (I.e.: It'll be dimmer with alkaline than LiIon.)

The link is more of a "feeler", right?

Maybe a feeler by Kai, deciding whether to carry it and how many to order/stock? It looks like Rexlight is going to make the light, regardless.

oooo that Rexlight is nice, and the price is even better. I think I will hold out and wait for this one....
