Depends on your budget. The Lumens Factory is a pretty awesome upgrade.
The LF upgrade seems a decent one, despite the slightly lower drive rate (800mA). But with this kind of tower module upgrade, extra care has to be taken with the RCR123a battery selection, as the overall length needs to be dead-on with that of the CR123a. Even a 1-2mm length increase can affect the head assy fitment, and in worse case, damage the underside driver board when not handled with extreme care.

I only use standard Surefire CR123As

SF, Panasonic, and other name brand CR123As are fine -- as long as the height dimensions are strictly observed. This is not the case with RCR123a (16340), especially with the protected ones, where overall height is often increased by some 2-3mm due to the inclusion of protection circuitry. (Rare exceptions include Xtar's protected RCR123a where the overall height closely matches that of Panasonic's black-label CR123a, so with LF's modules there should be no height-related fitment issue and can thus be used safely.)

There will be times when you may end up using RCR123a when all CR123as are depleted, or simply not available. Fortunately LF's boost module has a VIn range of 3-3.7V so you are all covered -- just observe the RCR's height restrictions should you need to use one.
