Malkoff Hound Dog Super - - - 3 18650's?

I noticed that the text on the Malkoff web site seemed to indicate you could use three 18650's with this light - now that I received the unit it seems only two fit. Is there some extension piece I missed buying? Or did I misread?

That aside - the light is plenty bright, not sure it is worth the trouble to add the third cell but just curious and if not too much, might be worth it for the experiment. I assume the third cell just makes the light brighter but not necessarily last longer.

Nope you have to get an extra 18650 extender. Or two 123 extenders that what I used. The three cell’s increases run time not really brighter.

They do not currently offer extenders. I added the "old style" extender to a new body, and it looks goofy IMO. To make it look better I slid a piece of bike innertube over the extender. Now its grippier and looks better.

I find 3 x 18650's might look a little too thin and long, I'd love 3 x 21700's though!

Two. They each will hold a standard 123 primary so two will hold an 18650.

A quick Amazon search came back with some.
how is the quality on these?
How’s the seal for waterproof-ness?
Any concern or can I expect high quality and my head rested if adding these extensions to my MD4?

I would like to have the option to extend my MD4 but wouldn’t want to sacrifice the durability that Malkoff is known for…

Alternatively what do you think about the overready 18650 extender? - any good? Why go with (2) 18350’s from SF over (1) 18650?

Do the SF’s match better with the older md4 kneeling so it looks good?

I have an old school MD4 at home, and thinking about what Malkoff head to throw on it to complete the light.

think I’m going to go and order the hound dog super cool 5700k… it appeals to me in a very big way, adding a 3rd 18650 cell into the mix extending the runtime by just about doubling it seems quite impressive but I don’t want to give up anything for it in terms of durability, water tightness ect.
