Need help choosing first HID

Either the Wolf Eyes Boxer 24w or the Oracle 24w. Which one would you pick/have and why?


The Wolf Eyes is on sale otherwise I might not consider it. (Looking to spend around $300)

If the Wolfeyes still uses 6000K + lamps, then the Oracle with a 4300K lamp and with a second battery is what I'd get with my $300.

The Oracle would be hard to beat unless you want to be able to use your choice of cells, which of course you can do with the Boxer.

Does the oracle have any weaknesses that would cause you to choose another? I know for the price it's a deal but any others better at a slightly more expensive price?

It really depends on what you mean by "better" but I'm not aware of any weaknesses in the Oracle. It used to be the run-time was a bit short but the latest reports put the run-time at 55 minutes which is excellent. One might argue that AE lights may have a bit more of a quality feel to them than WE or Mircrofire but for the price of the Oracle, I don't think you can go wrong. Member BVH who responded first has one and speaks well of it. He probably has as much or more HID experience than most of the active posters in this section of the forums. That says a lot imo.
