I posted a thread about one hour ago asking about a particular charger's compatibility with my L35 from batteryjunction.

The thread seems to have been deleted by the mods, I can't even find it anymore. I'm not sure what happened, I'm pretty sure I posted it in the right forum, the HID section, so ???

But I do still need help regarding my L35. The original chargers for the battery packs are lost, can somebody recommend a charger that will safely charge my L35s please?

Mods, feel free to move this post to the right section (???), but please do let me know where and why you guys moved it, I am a little confused here. I haven't received a pm yet.

Thanks

This is only a guess since I'm not familiar with the charging circuitry on the L35, but I do remember that it's a 3 cell li-po. I suppose that you'll need a 3S / 12.6V li-ion / lipo charger with a charging rate of around 2.0A. If there is smart charging circuity all ready on board then you might only need a steady voltage and proper charge rate, again...somewhere around 2.0A to 2.5A. In this case a "12V" 1.0A SLA wall wart would work but it will take a long time to charge. Also, you don't want to use this without knowing since wall warts will overcharge a 3S lipo if there's no circuitry to hold down the voltage to 12.6V or 4.2V per cell.

Can't you just order another charger from Battery Junction?

FWIW the output on the charger that came with mine has an output of 15 volts at .8 amps, rather then chance any problems try contacting a dealer that sells these lights and ask about buying the proper charger. Battery Junction should have these.

Hi Patriot, I scanned batteryjunciton's site, and the closest thing I found was this:

http://www.batteryjunction.com/n30-hf-ac-us.html

The voltage is right, but it says it's for the N30. Besides this, there is no other charger.

I certainly don't want to spend $300 for a charger.

Daveman, this is good news. According to Larbo's info the charging circuitry is internally controlled. All you need is a 13-15V charger thats around .8 - 1.0 amps. The N30 charger might work but the specs weren't given. You'll need to verify that first.
