Oh, you just got the email also.... Looks like it's available already. Just click on the email, and it takes you to the sales page. You can choose black or silver now...:thumbsup:

According to the Surefire email it is HA.

....This new hard-anodized silver body is as rugged and smooth as the original Backup....

Based on the color I don't believe it can be.

A while back fenix offered a Q5 P1D in silver HA, so it is possible.

I went to Shotshow 09 this year and the Surefire Rep. told me that this light was going to be programmed with Low output first and High output second.
Tailored more to the Civilian market.

Not according to the Surefire email I got....

Push or click constant-on and get all 80 lumens right out of the gate, that's more than enough light to temporarily blind an aggressor. Click off and right back on again and get five lumens of useful light for up to 37 hours
