Guys. We need to stay on topic. We are bringing many other lights into the mix, and it is unnecessary. The question is a yes or no answer. Yes I would buy a AAA Elzetta if they were to produce one, or No. Simple as that.
It's not about AA, Fenix, or sny other light.
Rant over. Come on now.

This is correct.

Would you buy an AAA Elzetta? What would you like to see?

Tis the vibe of the thread.

Thanks.

Only think it's fair to update the thread. Thanks for everyone's contribution!

In short, I have on good authority this is not going to happen. Please see:

http://www.elzetta.com/blog/batteries/

for more information about Elztetta's choice of batteries.

Thanks again everyone for your input!

I'd like to request this thread be locked as it is no longer pertinent.

Elzetta's position on CR123 vs. non-CR123 formats isn't surprising; in fact it is strikingly similar to the longstanding policy that Surefire has had ... who just released a AAA light powered by an included China-mfg rechargeable cell, lol. ;)

My take, Military / LEO is an established CR123 market. So it only makes sense to accomidate that format as conversions to a new brand are more likely based on what is already out there. That said, good point. Perhaps there is hope, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
