It almost looks like you stretched a McGizmo E tail over the tube! That's a nice looking light.

So why do you still like the kroll?

nice light!

never had a kroll fail, but I've always dabbed 953 grease on contacts.

I'm with CY; I've never had a kroll fail, and I've never really had to clean them or anything like that. They're forward clickies, affordable, water tight... what's there not to like?

I've had one Kroll fail in the last several years. A little tweak, some contact lube and it is up and running.

LedZepplins two stage mods make the package even better.

The only real problem I have is running the Kroll pushing 2+ amps through it. Doesn't realy like it, and I find that a twisty (VIP running at one amp to led with two NiMh's) handles the current better, for better runtime. Otherwise it is ok for lesser applications.

The Kroll doesn't seem to work very well in my 1AA light...The draw at the battery levels out at 1850 ~ 1880 mA

Even with Caig Gold spray applied, I still see the (variable resistance) :(

Guess I can always make that tube into a twisty...Remove the Kroll, and thread a solid plug. ;)
