Re: $122 Arc AAA standard? Has the world gone insa
Hey !!!!!!!!!!!!
I have 10 Arc AAA in nib condition, so I can sell it for only $100 each.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif But I'll wait that 1 dollar = 1 Euro, because actually 1 euro = 1,32 dollars /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
*shrug* if folks want to pay that much, then so be it. No harm done buying at this price if you really like them.
I personally wouldn't pay anything over $40 for an Arc AAA (standard or premium). They were nice for what they were, but they were still flawed (blue tint, sometimes finicky heads that wouldn't turn on everytime). I like my AAAs and AAs, but not enough at any price over $40.
I too got the ARC AAA(standard and premium), though they are of great quality--but over 100 is indeed bordering insanity... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif
As many have said, probably free 'supply-demand' at its best...and Christmas/novelty factor might contribute to it as well. My wild guess is after the Christmas is gone(when there is less urgency for 'gifts')/more ARC owner started to supply/people starting to find alternatives(For ex, Peak), we might see some prices dropping.

Ok, so I just bought a aaa premium from a fellow cpf member. Its HAIII coated, but has nothing engraved as far as "limited edition" or "arc-p" but he says it's the brightest aaa he's seen. Were any first runs released without the additional engraving? Or is it just possible that this led was destined for the premium bin and never got there?
