Super Moderator,
Turbodog, that's a mower! I looked at smaller commercials but decided my wife would slit my throat if I spent the money not to mention the little one I got is overkill.
I like the electric stuff, tried the neighbors corded electric mower once a long time ago and used a plug in trimmer for years but I finally couldn't live any longer with the amount of time, (4+ hours) to cut and trim the yard. They have probably improved greatly since my last try and would save a ton on gas and noise (For Darell: Plus it would save all kinds of money in other areas like parts and oil as well as reduce pollution and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif ). Maybe next time I will try another electric.
I bought a Stihl commercial trimmer in March, can't remember the model number but it has a solid shaft. That thing has less cc's than my old Ryobi unit, cuts twice as fast, and never ever gets vines wrapped around that slow down the head, amazing.
I haven't trimmed since I bought my new mower but I think I will time my cut and trim this Sunday. Can't wait.
