Looking For a "Scrap" Piece of Copper Round Stock

Please forgive me if it is unappropiate to post this request here but it does seem to be the best place to ask.

I'm looking for a piece of copper round bar 1" in diameter & 2" in length. To narrow it down it must be at least 0.9" in diameter so I can turn it down to size & in the neighborhood of 2" in length.

My local IMS only sells copper round stock in 36" lengths & they did not have any round copper in the scrap bins.

Found 12" lengths on ebay for $35 but I don't use copper much & don't want to get stuck with that much.

Anyone have a piece laying around in their bins at the shop?

Yes, you're right that buying one piece isn't a very good idea. I keep a list and order a few things at a time and/or include a few pieces that I will likely want in the future.
