Pep Boys had a promo for $10 and get a $5 rebate but when the ad insert appeared in the local paper, the rebate form was expired, typical. A great little spot with good form factor/size, pistol grip, rubber surround on the lens. Good throw with lots of spill. Not the last word in any particular aspect but you can't beat it for the price, size and light output. PKCOTI is the Peak cat #. I found it on Amazon but at a higher price. Can't figure out how to search Pep Boys site for it.

Sounds like a nice light! The incandescent spotlights like that can be very impressive due to their power and throw. Glad you are happy with it.

My uncle gave me one of these. It's SLA battery was dead. Instead of tying to fix it I took it apart and screwed up the bulb holder "note it's an assembly that comes out in one piece, don't try to rip just the bulb out like I did:rant:". The bulb is rated at 15 watts "so say 300- 350 lumens". The battery is a 6 volt 2.3 Ah, SLA battery. Thus the bulb pulls around 2.5 amps "at 6 volts" so you should get about 15-25 minuets of run time before you should recharge "SLAs don't like being discarded past the half way point:shakehead" also top off the battery after each use "extends the battery life:thumbsup:" makes sure not to over charge it though:poof:. At $10 if you just want output this isn't a bad deal at all. I saw the same light on sale at Radio Shack for $5, but I figured I could spend the money on batteries instead. I should have bought it:ohgeez:, even after all this time I have never bought one of those X rated candle power spotlights! Go figure:poke:.
