Hello,

I am new to this forum, and I have a couple questions for you all since you guys are pro's when it comes to high end tactical lights. I want to buy a tactical light in about the $50-100 range. I've looked at Novatac, 4Sevens, Nitecore, Fenix, Surefire, & Zebralight. There are just too many to pick from. I am wanting good quality, and the most lumens I can get in that price range, with also the most running time. Also like the really small lights that have higher outputs (lumens and such) for there size. I guess the two main things are small size and the most lumens with different output levels. Any info greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The Fenix TK lineup are very durable. Two modes, one with the head tightened and the other with the head slightly loosened.

the Quark Tactical lineup would also fit your needs, operate the same way, but you get to program the two modes.

Truthfully, I would suggest looking at the Ra lineup. Yes, they are out of your price range, but are extremely efficient, and extremely well built.

Small as in smaller than a Maglite so you can carry in a holster or smaller that a Mini Mag so you can carry in a pocket?

Also what type of battery's do you want to use? Common AA's or more powerful CR123? Maybe Li-Ion rechargeable?

Do you want a light that has more throw or is more of a flood light or a mix of both?

If your looking at CR123 light's the Fenix PD30 and 4sevens Quark 2x123 are really good light's with multiple modes. These light's are around 4.5' in length.

If you want even smaller you can look at a Zebralight SC50, Quark 1xAA or Fenix LD10 and PD20.

If you could provide a bit more info like battery type, length, how or where you intend to carry it and what type of beam you want flood-throw this will help.

Your post is kinda vague. But I will post a pic of my small 'tactical' lights and you can see the size comparisons.

The light that is in my pocket every day is the Quark Tactical 123*2..

Since you've specified "tactical" it would be helpful if you spelled out what features of "tactical" lights are important to you so that we know for certain that is what you want as opposed to perhaps you are using it as a generic buzzword.

Describing in general terms how the light is to be used would be a very good thing in addition to your first post.

Specifying what type of battery technology you'd like to use (rechargable AA, CR123, rechargble Lithium ion...) is pretty important in making a decision or at least eliminating large numbers of lights from consideration.

So back to you...
