Hi everybody,
I'm doing private security and i need a flashlight for this use. I'd like a flashlight with different levels of lightening , resistent (I should be able to hit with it), good autonomy...
I did some researches and read some topics of this forum but I really don't know what are the criterias .
I was told about the Fenix tk11 or The Olight M20 warior ....

What do you think about these two?
Do you have any other advice?

Thx for your help

Going to need some more info,

Battery preference?
Size requirement?
Budget?

I have the Fenix TK11 and think its a great light, very rugged, duel output.

If you can have a bigger budget, torch, the Fenix TK40 is great.

If you want something similar to what your talking about, but more compact/pocketable and with more modes, there is the Fenix PD30 (which i dont own, but i'm sure its decent)

If led isnt the only option, you could go with a mag-hosted hotwire, something like the Mag85.

If you think hitting people with it will be a primary role the Fenix TA30 is probably worth a look.

If it has Fenix or Eagletac written on the side of it your probably getting a quality light for the price, so have a look at their range and pick what you like most would be my suggestion.

*edit*
The Fenix TK40 isnt as big as it may seem, about the size of a 2D maglight, if I was a security guard, I wouldnt feel out of place with a decent sized torch hanging on my belt, and would probably go for that.

About the Battery i found out that in both of them we can have rechargeable 18650 battery and i prefer to have rechargeable batteries instead of buying some very 2 month. About the size something like 5-6 inches would be perfect.
My buget is about 120$, I hope that it's possible to find good stuff for this price :)

Are they other models more or less like the tk11 and m20 that you'd advice?

Have a look at the Surefire E2D LED, its got dual output - 'teeth' at both ends and bombproof reliability.

I already had a look at the Surefire flashlights but they are less powerfulf for a higher price compared to the fenix or olight...

Don't discount Surefire until you have actually tried one (in the dark / situation you will use it in). Surefire is very conservative in its output specs and many other manufacturers are, shall we say, optimistic....

Since I started collecting Surefire's, I've realised how glad I am that I didn't just push them aside because of their lower output ratings!

I have both the M20 and Tk11, and I would recommend them both, however I can never go past my 6P with Malkoff M60!

Maybe you should get one of the bored 6P's from the custom and mod section, and wack a Malkoff in it

And do you recommend any others who are like the M20 and TK11, as i said different levels of lightening, 18650 batery , hand sized...?
TK12??

Jetbeam Jet-III Military is a VERY nice light, with an excellent UI!

Check out my beamshots for a comparison of the TK11, M20, Jet-III, and malkoff M60

The Jet III M looks very nice but what i don't like is that there's no Middle Output.
It's either 225 Or 2 lm, the Olight has 3 levels + strobe... Hard decision...
however, i'm living in switzterland there's not a lot of reseller here, do you suggest any website where i can order from? I also found some packages on ebay or amazon from big companies selling lamp+18650 charger for ~110$. Is it a good deal?

The Eagletac T100C2 also has 2 modes, and runs well off of an 18650 battery. The surefires are probably not ideal for you, since they don't use 18650s, don't have as good of a UI for multiple modes, and generally aren't as bright.

The thing about the Jet-III that you may be confused with is that the UI works like this:

Head fully tightened = 225 lumens
Head slightly loosened = user defined: this can be from 2 lumens upto 225 lumens, or strobe, sos etc.

So, if you just need medium and high, or stobe and high, or just high no matter what! It is upto you!

I can suggest the market place, or Bugoutgear for Jetbeams.
For Fenix, or Olight I would suggest 4sevens, or Battery Junction.

There are many others, but these are the ones I have had experience with, or have heard good reports of.

If it has to be LED with three outputs, and on one 18650:

nothing beats the Wolf eyes Sniper MC-E :twothumbs

580 blinding Lumens on high, 30% of that on medium, and 2% of that on low. The low will have a runtime of at least 50(!) hours, while high will draw a current of 2A(!) out of that poor battery, it will give up after one hour....

Timmo.

first you ask for resistent (I should be able to hit with it), than you say, About the size something like 5-6 inches would be perfect.

idk but to me sounds contradicting

I mean if I'm fighting and i have the flashlight in my hand, i don't want it to break, I want it to be resistent, and i guess that a Crenellated bezel will do much more damage. That's what i'm lookin for.

Thx Guys

@alpg88: ever took a good look at that Wolf eyes MC-E Sniper? Although it is fairly small, I wouldn't like the hit on my head someone could give with it :sick2:
It has a hefty, solid feel to it, and that crenelated bezel...

If unbreakability, durability, blinding brightness, 18650-capable AND "hitting-capable" in a small light were my wishes, I knew for sure, that Wolf-Eyes would be my first choice :)
It has the right UI for tactical purposes: it has a forward clicky, and whenever it comes on, it is in BRIGHT mode (580 Lumens!!)

(But it is equally useful as a home-light, a bike-light, a camping light, an emergency light for 50 hours(!) etc etc).

That's the reason I own one

As I saw the Wolf Eyes are a Bit more expensive than the others...
If i Had to chose between the M20, or the Jet III M, which one would you recommend :)?
