Me too! Just rec'd mine from Brightguy, and after reading all of the hoopla here, I broke down and ordered one. Far and away, the best binned Lux 1 light that I own. And that number is near the 50 mark. I also own, like others here, UK 4AA eLed, and it too, has it's place with outstanding runtime, but for distance and brightness, this one's sure a winner in my book. I am so impressed with this one as it can easily compete with my three overseas models that are supposedly 3W lux'es. Hat's off to you, Streamlight, for making such an affordable light that is also a real perfomer.

"Has anyone come up with a good way to mount one of these to a bike yet? If so, I might just have to buy one because it seems like it would make a great bike light..."

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to check it out.

How secure is it? Its just a piece of velcro?

Now thats a useful beamshot! I can actually get a real world feel for what both lights look like. I wish more people on here would post beamshots like this. Shining a light on a blank white wall from one foot away is pointless to me!

EVERYONE TAKE NOTE! PLEASE POST BEAMSHOTS LIKE THIS FROM NOW ON!!!

It might not look like much, it has a rubber block that the light slides in. I could not pull the light out of the holder it really sticks to the rubber.

Specifications say '"O" ring sealed, water resistant'. Has anyone used the 4AA lux for diving?

It looks like a nice torch for free diving as long as it can take 20 m / 65 feet. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

hookoo, thanks again. I'm seriously considering picking up two of those clamps and two Streamlights for use on my bike. If one is good, two is better right? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
