Thought just maybe you'd like to see some pictures of my 005 EDC and some "other" lights I had with me recently on one of my many hikes. Wadaya think? My first picture post! How'd I do?..

Very nice

I find that my Spy 005 (upgraded) gets more use than any light, I have. Use the lowest setting (re-programmed to a very low) for night use (with the two tritiums) is easy to find. The levels are easy to switch (by far my favorite UI) and can be used for most situations.

I REALLY want an 07, but since the LED and UI are the same, it might just sit on a shelf and that is unacceptable!

Well, with my (limited) exposure to the 007, it really is quite the advancement over my EDC 005.

Hi Karl...

Did you have your 005 upgraded to Seoul and a new board and also what do you find that is "advanced"??

Thanks for your help.....( I really need to buy another light :poke:)

Nah, I never let go of my EDC Natural and wanted to keep my black stock plus I couldn't justify the $150+ for the upgrade. Both of my 005s are stock. The upgraded LEDs and the boards did, as I understand, make quite a difference in terms of output. I enjoyed the different feel of the 007 itself (heft, larger size) as well as the different feel of the knob and switch. The 007 has a more futuristic and mechanical feel to it in my opinion. As I said though, limited experience here....Whatever, buy one when the second wave comes out!! Lottsa folks are just dying to get one...or two...and hopefully me!!

Finally, there's ALWAYS good reason to buy another light and in particular, a light as fine as the 007!!!

Karl,

I love the Spy collection.

Nice bling you added to the 007. And the stingray holester looks super cool.

I am definitely waiting for the next offering - excitedly!
