Looks similar to the one that you see on ebay for $50. Anyone seen/heard of this one from HF before?

I think I noticed that too sometime ago. And you are propably right that it is same as the Sam's Club or power onboard HID. Sam's Club price is unbeatable . The Amondotech Illuminator would have the better 4200K bulb and be the same price as that HF.

As far as you know, sams is still carrying the POB HID's right? I may have to stop in.
