So intense.

I'm sure you already mic'd the OD of the tube....but for those who have not, the clip needs to be 1.032" or 26.2mm.

Solution 3, let's turn this lemon into lemonade:

Not bad. It's not McGizmo but it's better than nothing and it's removable for larger wildcat or hound dog heads. Thanks kerneldrop.

Very nice! What clip is that?
I put a skinnier 21700 clip on my MD2 tailcap. I think it has a better ride height than the Prometheus ring clip. My guess is the 18650 and 21700 are the same diameter….some will have wider arms.

Ok so now I am really interested for the 2x21700 bodies. I was going to probably buy one at least to experiment with but I just ordered a Super Hound Dog head so now I MUST have one.

The 2X2700 is definitely the way to go with the super and the wildcats. I'm hoping they will be out soon.

@wacbzz - did you try a clip made for the imported 21700 lights like what I posted a pic of?
I finally received the clip...and am now carrying my 21700 body with the M61HOT.

Nice! How do you like it?
I feel like it actually is the perfect clip for this light. It doesn't move in any way - as you accurately described - and it allows for a deep pocket carry.

The other cool thing is that thanks to the body design, the clip can be flipped for a nice bezel up carry as well. It's almost like this clip was designed for this host or vice versa.

$10. If someone wants/needs a pocket clip for this body, the Fenix PD36R clip is it.

Great find KD!

I thought the same thing when I snapped it on.
I found a similar import clip with a smaller arm that fit perfectly on the MD2 body or Tailcap.

I guess now you can epoxy it for a permanent install.

This is quickly becoming my favorite dog-walking light. 18650 Wildcat (diffuser removed) on a 21700 body. What a great light! Fits in most any jacket pocket. Great throw/spill combo! Also love the Hound Dog on an MD3 body!
The grey 'sleeve' is a chunk of mt-bike grip... excellent 'grippage' and not so cold this time of year.

Hi. very interesting.
where did you find the clip for sale?

Plus one.

Question, when Gene comes up with the 21mm body, will it fit the existing volume of Hound Dogs, etc? Will it be backwards compatible?
The single cell 21700 body is already available and is compatible with the previous releases that fitted the MD2/MD3/MD4 bodies, so yes they are backward compatible.

I meant the 2x21700 body, I am assuming it will follow the same format as the already released 1x2700 body.
