Huge reseblance to the original.

This all started with the 1994 Impala redo and now the Mustang is looking like the old. It took them long enough to figure it out. Or maybe all of us guys who were drooling over those old cars back in the day are now liquid enough or motivated enough to buy new versions of them.

Here's a question. What OTHER cool old cars should they bring back that you think would sell well??

I'm a Chevy guy and had a '65 Malibu SS with a 302z and all the racing parts that go with it except the three carb top end. It was a labor of love building that car and Mopar was the enemy at that time :D

Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
Smells like a steak, and seats thirty five?
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down
It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Hey, hey!
Twelve yards long, two lanes wide,
Sixty five tons of American pride!
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!
Canyonero! Canyonero!
She blinds everybody with her super high beams
She's a squirrel-squashin', deer-smackin' drivin' machine
Canyonero! Canyonero! Canyonero!
Whoa, Canyonero! Whoa!

Yes! I was hopping that the challenger made it to production. And the jingle is from the simpsons, The canyonero is a great truck, just don't get the f-series.

ThisIsNascar needs one. I need one and of course, cheapo needs one.

I like it.

Badder than the Charger I think.

Hope the real deal retains the proto's "At the rear, the car-wide cavity motif is repeated, encompassing a full-width neon-lit taillamp."

Serious Wheels

...has some nice pics.

Well ... assuming that you haven't stumbled on something very old, that image bears a striking resemblence to a car that Chrysler built in the early 70's. It was sold under the name badges of Plymouth Satellite/Dodge Challenger :)

Go to www.freep.com and search for Challenger. Chrysler took 4 or 5 prototype cars to downtown Royal Oak and let people on the street check them out. There is one picture of a 1970 Challenger next to the new one.

it may look good as a prototype, but when it hits the streets, it may not look as good.... actually, it probably wont.

You really need to check out Allpar's "future product" forum, it's been known forever (way before it was "official") that they would produce the Challanger.

Chrysler has been driving the Challenger out on the west coast, to drive ins and meets, the reception has been unbeliable.

I will buy one when it comes out, give me the biggest, most powerful engine. Anyone that cares about fuel economy won't get it. Which is fine with me, a car isn't just an appliance to get from point A to B, the bigger and more powerful the engine the better.
