good to see i finally got a response I have had this post up for a while. I live in riverview, don't know what these things are like and my only guess would be something like a camping trip with more flashlights than anyone could imagine. does anyone have any info do we set it up ourselves or is there a higher power.

most of us that replied are on the east side of the state about a 4 hour drive but my question again is what is a flashaholic get together where do you go what do you do?

I want to get together with some of those who have those really cool lights - i.e. the McGizmos and stuff that I haven't seen yet. It would be funny...meet at a restaurant and have 30 flashlights on the table, all talking about which driver is in this one....which reflector in that one...etc. That would be great for anyone else in the restauraunt. Only problem is, a flashlight get together would have to go into the evening. There's no point in looking at lights if you can't compare brightness and throw outside in complete darkness.

Get-togethers usually take place either at a park at night, at a restaurant during the day, or at a CPF'rs house. Restaurant is just a way of meeting some of the goofs you run across online. A park is fun, since there's open space.. usually a bbq or the like. At a CPF'rs house, it usually is the same - bbq, food, etc., and you hang out until it gets dark.
Oh, and you bring your lights. To all three.

Kensington Metropark should be a good place to meet. It is west of Detroit off of I-96. It has a few beaches, a golf course and a boat launch or 2. If we meet at about 3:00 p.m. we should be able to get a little darkness in before the park closes at 10 p.m.

Kensington is a great place! Anyone still interested? If not this weekend, what date would be good for everyone interested? I know a great trail where I've had a great time with my lights maybe a mile or two from Kensington.

I just started a new job and the only day i get off right now is sunday. I really wanted to get my L2 modded by milky but even if i sent it out this week I don't think I would see it till next month. If its OK with everyone else, can we have it on a sunday. I say we get a list of everyone thats wants to come and then set a date.
