OK, maybe I was sleeping that day in school (or in shop class), but aren't these poems supposed to rhyme?
Haiku doesn't rhyme
Unless you make it do so.
It is optional.
With five seven five
Syllable lines, it is hard
To find any rhyme.

Traditionally, no. I do not believe that haiku generally rhyme. They are quite subtle, and are only "poems" in the sense that there are constraints placed upon the meter (not constraints, exactly...but I digress), and follow a 5-7-5 syllable pattern.

That makes you far from freakish
It makes you a catch!

The inspiration
For this light has spread throughout
The dimly lit world!

The Haiku will make
The whole world a brighter place
I'm so excited!
I love the new look
Of the ribbed titanium.
What could be better?

In light of 5-7-5 (rules :nana: )
To quench desire
A fresh horizon to view
I give you haiku
It's not a poem
Its a bloody light you twit
But the whales do sing
To Don, I plead thee
For next light creation's name
